Hey look, I’m using Tumblr again.

So I decided to be like every other producer and remix Skrillex’s Scary Monsters And Nice Sprites. Still a lot of work to be done, expect the finished product to not sound much like this one. Also going to try and incorporate quite a few genres at once in this one, right now is just the trancey intro.

Also going to be deleting, remastering, and re-uploading all my older tunes on the Turtle Mafia soundcloud as their finished versions. Turtle Shack EP coming out soon?

I don’t think techno/electronic/dubstep/etc. is meant to be taken seriously. It’s fun to listen to at like a party or something but other than that, I don’t think hundreds of techo songs should belong in your iPod. I don’t see it as “real” music.

Not gonna hate. But all I’m gonna say is try it. And actually, you’re wrong about the rhythm, the computer handles that for you. Everything else however… Well, you still need to write the music (just like any band would) and as far as synthesizers go, well there’s whole studies of that. Imagine if in order to play guitar, first you had to build it and decide the laws of physics it obeyed. Don’t knock it before you’ve tried it, please.

Edit: I think this explains it better. And Allison, you know I’m being unbiased, and this whole argument is coming from a musician who primarily plays guitar. I’m not saying it’s harder, but I’m saying it’s certainly not easier or talentless:
